Our adventure began with a warm welcome from Barbara Denner, our incredible host, whose meticulous planning and kind-hearted gestures ensured a seamless experience from the get-go. Barbara was more than just an organizer; she was the beacon that guided us through the bustling halls and vibrant panels, making sure we had everything we needed and more. Her efforts went beyond mere professionalism—they were personal and heartfelt.
A special shoutout is also due to Chloe, who was instrumental in bridging the connection between Big Z Fabric and the leadership of Anime Nebraskon. Chloe, your genuine interest in our experience was palpable and deeply appreciated.
To the entire Anime Nebraskon staff, your patience and assistance didn’t just make our visit easier—they made it joyful. And to the attendees and fellow vendors, your warmth and friendliness truly embodied the spirit of community. Day 1: Arrival and Amazement
Upon our arrival, coordinated effortlessly by Barbara, we were greeted by the serene Nebraskan weather and the inviting proximity of our hotel to the convention center. The energy was electric as we met the rest of the staff and familiarized ourselves with the venue. The cosplay costumes were our first glimpse into the creative heart of Anime Nebraskon, and they were nothing short of spectacular.
The vendor hall was a treasure trove of innovation, where we had the pleasure of meeting many pleasant individuals, including the delightful @OurMassHysteria from Twitter. Our day culminated with the anime cosplay burlesque show, a riveting display of talent and passion that truly showcased the dedication behind the scenes.
Day 2: Panels, Passion, and Pride
Our first full day dove deep into the world of Anime Nebraskon. After enjoying a hearty breakfast, we were greeted by an even larger assembly of anime cosplay enthusiasts. The panels were a highlight, especially those dedicated to fursuiting, where we were thrilled to meet some of our amazing customers and snap memorable photos.
The inspiration we drew was immense, igniting a desire within us to host our own panels in the future to share our knowledge of fabric use in cosplay.
The highlight, however, was the cosplay costume contest we sponsored. To learn that some of the winners crafted their winning ensembles with fabric from Big Z Fabric was humbling and gratifying. Seeing our fabric come to life in such vivid and imaginative ways reinforced the bond we share with our customers and the cosplay community.
Day 3: Farewells and Reflections
As the convention drew to a close, we gathered insights and feedback from the staff over a communal breakfast, savoring the last moments of camaraderie. With hearts full and minds inspired, we bid farewell to Anime Nebraskon and began our journey home, already nostalgic for the weekend that passed too swiftly.
