We have always included the option to recieve your fabric orders on rolls for the fabrics that could do it. This option has worked well for many of our customers but many of you have asked us about when we would be able to offer shipping some fabrics on bolts. That day has finally arrived, at least for our Minky Solid Baby Soft Fabric (but soon for more as well).
Choose 15 Yard Bolts or By The Yard
Each of our colors is now offered by the bolt or by the yard. We have made it as easy as possible for you to buy by the bolt right now by making all of them 15 yards only. For now we think that is the sweet spot for the vast majority of our customers. Some reasons we chose to offer 15 yards instead of a variety of options are:
- Best pricing on shipping: our carrier rates are optimized for the size and bulk of 15 yard bolts
- Warehouse fulfillment speed: our warehouse had to be updated to facilitate bolt rolling and storing. By keeping all orders at 15 yards we are able to provide faster fulfillment to more customers.
- Best size for wholesale customers: our wholesale customers were ordering in 15 yard increments and wanting to buy a variety of colors. Therefore we chose to cater to those requests.
- Customer storage: 15 yard bolts store well in smaller storage areas and our customers favor the way 15 yard bolts stack and organize in their workspaces.
Moving towards a bulk and wholesale fabric focus
The Minky Fabric bolts we are now offering is just another step in our quest to offer better pricing, more options, and attentive service to our customers that buy in bulk. We are launching even more features on our website soon that will make it easier than ever to buy the fabric quantities you need at better prices and faster shipping. The feedback and efforts around our wholesale customers also benefits our hobbiest or one-time customers as well because our warehouse is more streamlined and our pricing even better for a single or a few yards.
